Let an orphan feel your love!
First, a word of thanks to the great outpouring of support we are receiving. We have been overwhelmed by this crisis, and support is pouring in to meet the needs of these orphans. My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude to all who have sent in your support – these children are facing a better future and feel loved and safe because of your direct action.
If you haven’t yet started supporting a child, I’m begging you to help us. My personal children have been moved to safety and we are organizing a flight to bring them to the States. My wife and I are carrying the full burden of our own children and we have already spent out of pocket over $30,000 to see the finalization of the adoption of our children and their safe travel to the States. I’m confident our children will be reunited with us here at home within the next two weeks.
Buy my heart grieves for the many children we are having to leave behind suffering. They are running out of food. Robbers come at night and steal their food and money from them. They sleep out under the trees. They have nowhere to go.

We are also gathering information on 30 – 50 orphanages that are under our care. We have ministers here in the States who will be traveling to Haiti at the end of this week to being assessing the damage, the needs, and gathering lists of the children and their information. The needs are overwhelming.

Monthly Support
We appreciate your help. Orphans and orphanages will have ongoing needs even after things are restored to “normal”. We personally supported our three children receiving food, going to school, getting clothes, as well as the other needs of the orphanage. By supporting monthly you give the child the peace of mind that their future is safe and secure and someone is looking out for them. Thanks again.

Interested in Adopting or Fostering a Child
GREAT! As you know, we adopted three children from Haiti. It was a 5-year struggle that helped us grow spiritually and closer together in the Lord.
It takes a special person to want to adopt, and at that to adopt children who have suffered extreme trauma. We are developing a support network to help you adopt a child in need as well as the after-care your family will need once your child arrives home.
The first step in adopting is to being supporting a child where they are. Most adoptions don’t take 5 years like ours, but it can be a lengthy process, and considering the infrastructure of Haiti in it’s current condition, don’t plan on anything quick.
Through our adoption we endured a lot of frustrations – we were good people and just wanted to help, these children desperately needed our help, why didn’t “they” just give us our kids? So we understand the feelings you have when things just don’t seem to move fast enough. One thing to keep in mind, although these children need your help, and you have a lot of help to give, no credible aid agency will just hand children over to anyone who asks. We respect the process of having home studies, background checks, and psych evals to make sure not only are you aware of and prepared for the issues this child will bring into your home, but also that the children are placed in homes that won’t end up being abusive.
To this end, please be patient while you are screened and while your paperwork goes through the process.

Once you’ve started your support, write back and let us know what type of child or children you are looking for (sex, age, siblings, etc) and we will build a portfolio of recommendations for you. You should have your child selected in less than a week (maybe a little longer at the present moment since communications with Haiti are hampered).
Once your sponsoring is started we will help you through the entire process of getting the necessary paperwork together and connect you with the appropriate agencies you will need to file with, including those in Haiti.
Physical Goods
Right now perishable goods can’t be easily shipped in-country. It’s much better to send money in place of things like food and water. We can transfer money directly to the orphanages within a matter of minutes, shipping at this point will take a month or longer.
In the mean time we are preparing shipments of items like clothes, cooking and eating items (pots, pans, plates, flatware, etc), soap, toothpaste, towels, etc. Just about anything you can think of that is used for personal care on a daily basis.
